Home Connections
Our Home Connection Groups are available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 at various locations around the community including Uniontown, Tallmadge, Brimfield, and Akron. At each meeting we share a meal, spend time in prayer, and expand on the topic of the message that was delivered the previous Sunday.
Why Meet in Homes?
At Southeast, we are working to get back to the intentions of the original church. We feel the home is the best place to foster relationships and to promote transparency and vulnerability. We believe it is easier to invite someone to our church by inviting them to our home and our hope is that will put visitors more at ease. This is church, but not at a church building.
A Typical Meeting
On a normal Home Connection meeting night, the host will provide the main course for dinner while the other attendees bring accompanying sides. The evening starts by blessing the food and our time together. We share our meal while fellowshipping and building our relationships. We then transition into a time of prayer, being sure to give everyone a chance to speak and request. Finally, we dive into the scripture that was discussed in the Sunday sermon. The smaller setting allows for a deeper dive and much more discussion. It is amazing how much can be learned through the shared experiences of the people within your group!
